HaiCo's Operating Structure
 

HaiCo is governed by a Board of Directors recommended for appointment by a Committee of Nominators. Selection of board nominees is based on criteria that include business backgrounds and other necessary skills. The major role of the board is to select a Chief Executive Officer and ensure sound governance and direction for the company in meeting its four Strategic Plan Goals.

A Letter of Expectation between the Council of the Haida Nation and HaiCo outlines the respective roles and responsibilities of each party, providing the basis of agreement on corporate mandate including high-level performance expectations, policy issues and strategic priorities.

Board and staff development of budgets and financial forecasts of positive surplus of net profits from HaiCo’s operations on a long-term basis.

In all aspects of its operations, the Haida Enterprise Corporation will conduct its business in an open and transparent manner.

CONFIDENTIALITY

Proceedings of the Board and its minutes will remain confidential to the corporation with the Chair of the Board retaining responsibility for communicating with the Shareholder and third parties.
