HaiCo Strategic Plan 2025–2030

OVERVIEW

Passed at the October 2024 House of Assembly, the HaiCo Strategic Plan 2025–2030 is a values-driven roadmap designed to ensure that HaiCo thrives while upholding the cultural, environmental, and economic priorities of the Haida Nation. Developed collaboratively with Haida leadership, citizens, and governing bodies, the plan is rooted in Xaads Xiináangaa | XaaydaGa Xaaynang.ngaay | Haida Ways of Being and reflects a collective vision for the future. Over the next five years, HaiCo will focus on four interconnected priorities: building trust and transparency through meaningful communication, protecting and sustaining the lands and waters of Haida Gwaii, creating long-term employment and leadership opportunities for Haida citizens, and ensuring HaiCo businesses deliver lasting economic benefits for the Nation. This plan isn’t just about growth—it’s about doing business the Haida way, with respect, responsibility, and balance at the core of every decision.
