MARKETING & SALES MANAGER | HAICO

Reporting to the CEO and working directly with the Management Team, the Marketing and Sales Manager will lead and manage HaiCo’s marketing and sales activities for our various businesses with particular focus on Haida Resorts and Lodges and Haida Wild Seafoods. Based in our Richmond, B.C. office, the incumbent will oversee the development of the sales and marketing strategic plan and implement a growth oriented plan through HaiCo’s marketing and sales teams. This position is responsible for overall brand management and corporate identity, developing and implementing effective marketing and sales campaigns, exploring opportunities with travel trade partners, and supporting the development of new products and services including cultural tourism, specialty seafood and value-added lumber. SKILLS DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR | HAICO

The Skills Development Coordinator (SDC) conducts needs assessments and coordinates the delivery of skill building training initiatives and programs that help fulfill on-island needs and build capacity to advance the various business interests of HaiCo. The SDC promotes the value of education with key stakeholders including the Council of the Haida Nation (CHN), Band Councils and school district and works and collaborates with stakeholders to develop awareness campaigns directed at island youth, councils, parents and school districts.
The SCD will source funding, write funding proposals and coordinate training dollars.
This position also supports the recruiting process of HaiCo’s subsidiaries by creating a database of training needs for each business unit by position as well as building and maintaining a pipeline of potential Haida citizen candidates.

SHIPPING/RECEIVING COORDINATOR | HAIDA WILD

Reporting to the Operations Administrator, the Shipping/Receiver Coordinator ensures that Haida Wild products and supplies are shipped, distributed and received in an efficient manner. Follows standards outlined in our corporate management system to ensure inventory of product is managed effectively and that the Richmond warehouse is operating efficiently. The Shipping/Receiving coordinator fulfills various sales orders including, online, restaurant sales, and walk-in sales. This position also provides backup support to the Haida Wild sales team from time to time by assisting with invoicing for online orders.

BARTENDER - SEASONAL | WESTCOAST RESORTS

Located on Haida Gwaii, this position will be responsible for daily operation of the lounge, at both lunch and dinner. The bartender interacts with our guests, assesses needs and preferences and makes recommendations. This position assesses and replenishes bar inventory and supplies and cleans bar and surrounding lounge areas. As a key member of the guest service team, this position will also assist in the dining room and other inside areas as necessary. MASSAGE THERAPIST - SEASONAL | WESTCOAST RESORTS

Located on Haida Gwaii, this position will be responsible for providing massage therapy services within the scope of practice as defined by the Massage Therapists’ Association of B.C. In this role, you will evaluate guests/clients regarding their symptoms and pain/tense areas of the body and their desired results. You will administer effective treatment and provide clients with guidance on follow up activities such as stretching, strengthening and relaxation techniques. Promoting the massage program to guests, scheduling your day, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, laundering linens are also duties of this role. As a key member of the guest service team, this position will also assist in the retail store and dining room as necessary. All lodge staff work on site 7 days per week through the operating season. Reporting to the Communications Manager, and based on Haida Gwaii, this position fulfills a key function for HaiCo and our business enterprises.
As Certification Coordinator, the incumbent works closely with our Communications Manager, HaiCo Contractor and operations staff to assist in the maintenance and implementation of corporate management systems (CMS) and certifications for each HaiCo business entity. This position assists in finding simplicity, efficiencies and commonalities within and between systems to strengthen and streamline.
In the first year of employment, the Certification Coordinator will learn for each subsidiary: individual systems and maintenance, learn how to conduct inspections and write inspection reports, learn the different certifications and how each CMS is applied.
